Resilient Sound Isolation Clips (RSIC) are used to decouple walls and ceilings to limit sound transmission. So instead of vibrations passing through the wall's studs or ceiling joists the vibration (and sound) can be limited by our clips! The clips can add up to 20 STC points of sound barrier protection. -Each clip is 1.25" wide, 3 inches long, and 1 inch tall. -This listing includes 100 clips and 100 screws. To install this system you would also need to use 25 gauge furring channel (also called hat channel). -The clips are designed to support 36 pounds per clip. So that meansa it can support 2 layers of 5/8" drywall when spaced 24" x 48". -These clips can be used on wood framed, steel framed, concrete, or CMU (concrete masonry units). -The system can be used on walls or ceilings.
